Vimeo Create

Vimeo Create was originally a solution built with businesses in mind. With more research we learned; everyone can be (and wants to!) create. Cynthia was on the team that launched the original product, and then was handed the keys to the re-brand a year later. It was then we got our hands dirty; and created an ecosystem of tools to ensure anyone could execute their vision with video.

  • Led a full product team of; researchers, engineers, designers, growth, an marketing folks as we wrangled moving an existing product into another.

Probably the hardest puzzle I have ever had to solve.

  • Once we learned our solution had more verticals, it was time to re-position and ultimately overhaul the entire product from top to bottom.

This included a complete brand overhaul; landing pages, new app store video + screens, CRM journeys, and deeper product pushes.

  • Video made easy. Led the creation and production of more than 3,000+ video templates at a time when they didn’t even exist. Fully flushed out SEO strategy to lead to discovery.

  • Lead the team to create a state of the art video creation hub with 12+ landing pages. The goal? To meet users where they were in their journey and to help them connect the dots in what they needed, and what offering would best serve them. Creating a traffic loop, and a win-win for everyone involved.

Her sweet spot sits at the intersection between people + products.

Humans are at the heart. Without user empathy, how can we know the way? Like who, are we talking to? What problems are we solving, and most importantly, why?

Yelp, Cincinnati

Responsible for connecting people to great local businesses through the website and mobile app. She wore lots of hats here and was basically a marketing octopus. Over 8 years became Cynthia became a local celebrity and expert in driving community growth through various activations both online, and off.

  • During my tenure, I planned and executed more than 500+ events. Click around below to see a snippet of some of the coolest.

  • Grew our community newsletter highlighting events and local businesses from around 10,000 subscribers to over 250,000.

  • Achieved the second highest community growth out of 200+ community managers by harnessing the power of authentic connection online, engaging in person events, and word of mouth.

  • Created 2-3 large scale campaigns each year to drive awareness for our product and community. Eventually having multiple campaigns go national by rolling out playbooks to other community managers around the country.

  • Sat on the community councils for local business owners serving as a marketing trainer to educate on how to market your business, increase brand awareness, and harness the power of online reviews to your advantage.

  • Participated in regular local media partnerships to drive engagement ranging from local news stations, to print magazines, and even had a recurring radio segment with iheartmedia for 6 years.
